Welcome to the Art Primer Blog

Welcome to Art Primer's new blog, where you can learn about our new classes and activities. Please feel free to send us your art questions, so we can post your questions with our answers here on this blog.

On November 28th, we were pleased to host Rene DeGuzman's  (Oakland Museum of California) presentation at the Oakland Art Gallery through our Inside the Art World lecture series. The gallery was packed--standing room only. Rene talked about his vision for the Oakland Museum of California, strengthening the relationship between the museum, art and the community.

Our current classes are offered through Kala Institute in Berkeley, but we are also available for private coaching and mentoring. One on one coaching helps you develop the skills that you need to manage your art career. We can provide you with individual attention and create a personal plan of concrete, specific actions to help you move your art career forward.

Topics include: studio critiques, artist's packet preparation, gallery research, arts business practices, website critiques and goal-setting. We provide sensible and practical real-world advice from our collective experiences.

Please email us if you need more information.
